Ghost Park, Aug 23, clapboard Installation, dimensions variable.
This installation took place in an abandoned park in my neighborhood, where I used to play when I was little with my friends and cousins.
Every time I pass by that place I have feelings of longing and sadness to see the park abandoned and lonely. The few children in the neighborhood don't play and the authorities are not interested in restoring the park. This piece was born from the need to relive those happy moments I spent in the park and a reflection of how times change.
To create the children/figures I took inspiration from the photo shoot “Rakes Progress” by photographer Andres Kylberg.
